Tomorrow's the day〜……。。

At long last, tomorrow is the HeadPhones President one-man live.
Yesterday was the dress rehearsal, and we finished all rehearsals, and all the small details that remained were sorted out during the staff meeting. Today we're taking care of many preparations for tomorrow. We went out to buy supplies, visit stores of acquaintances, and went to thank them all individually for helping us out.

Honestly, if I don't keep myself busy, then I feel like I'll be crushed by all of this anxiety and anticipation.

Tomorrow we're going to bring everything we've got. So, everyone, please come and accept this time that we share together.

Come, and experience Head Phones President in it's entirety.

MARです、words cannot express...

A great musician, Katou Kazuhiko-san has passed away.

With the sudden news of his death, all the HPP members, staff, and especially Anza, are extremely saddened, and are at a loss of words.

Even now I still can't believe it... this news came too quickly to take in, and I think it'll take some time to fully sink in.

I know Anza played on the same stage as Katou-san, and spent a lot of time with him, but he also came to watch countless HPP lives, and for that we are really grateful.

I remember speaking with him many times, and he was always very nice to talk to.

I can't put these feelings into words, but I wish him happiness in the next world.

blog or die…。

Lately the weather has remarkably gone down.
The nights are starting to cool down, and it feels like winter is just around the corner.
I'm already starting to wear a scarf…。(^-^;)

Accompanying the release of PRODIGIUM, lately our work has continued to be covered aggressively in newspaper articles and whatnot.
Right here I'm being photographed for some music publication called "Yashiromae".
I wonder what kind of magazine it is?

Nooo, this week I'm already worn out and feel like shit...(-_-;)
It's important to take care of yourself, it really is.
Everyone make sure to properly take care of your bodies, okay?
It's just a little longer until the oneman, so we'll try our best〜★
Today is really low on energy ~m(__)m

Right now I've just gotten back from rehearsals~♪
I know we're supposed to be serious, but it really is fun to just make noise!
We've gone through many possible songlists, most of them not really feeling right, so we're just gonna go with our gut feelings, so look forward to it!
Somehow, errands always seem to pop up everyday for one reason or another, it feels hectic like my head's about to explode (^^;)
We're definitely gonna make this oneman worth your while, so everyone please come see us, okay?★

This post was translated loosely. Very loosely.
Dissatisfaction! x_x

Hey everyone, how are you doing? Even though the typhoon has coincided with the release of the new Headphones President mini-album "Prodigium", I've just gotten news from the Tower Records store in Shibuya that they've sold out, and that the one in Shinjuku is also running low!

Hopefully they'll arrange for more copies, so in case you haven't gotten one yet, if you look in other CD stores I think they might still have copies available, so please don't give up and continue searching! (><)

All the members and staff are overjoyed!

Let's keep up this energy and bring it to the live on the 23rd!

Everyone, have you been well? Lately there have been a lot of things to watch out for like influenza or colds, so make sure to wash your hands and rinse your mouth properly, okay?(^^)
The one-man is coming up soon and I'm getting kinda nervous(laugh)It always feels like we're frantically running around, whether it's due to preparations or whatnot, but we'll try our best to show you guys something good! We're trying to get as much food and sleep as possible in order to prepare for the show★
The picture is from the other day when we were coming back from Grind House night in Shibuya at 4 in the morning! It was nice that there wasn't much people around(laugh)

It's been a while, sorta (laugh)
We've quietly finished the play.
Thank you very much for all of you who came to see the performance♥

And now before I've realized it, it's already the day before the HPP release!
That was fast...too's already been 10 months!

Ever since tonight, my heart's been beating at the thought of sitting in front of that line tomorrow and I can't calm down (laugh)

Since last month we've been talking a lot about this new album in interviews and whatnot, but this has become a mini-album made from the warm feelings of all of the members.

I can feel everyone's hard work coming together, and that alone truly makes me happy.
I want to hurry and do a live show! (laugh)

Preparations for the one-man have already begun, and this time, it's gonna be really awesome (laugh)

I'll be looking forward to meeting you all♥

Well, it's the 1st and everything is all hectic (^^;)
Lately we've been focusing on the machinery maintenance for the upcoming one-man, going and coming to certain specialty shops!
To get a superior sound and to make sure everything runs smoothly, we are working are hardest to make this one-man the best it can be(^^)
Today is the start of October! You know what that means, right? That's right! The release of the CD is coming up soon!
Everyone reserve a copy and come pick it up, okay?
There shouldn't be anyone who hasn't already reserved their copy...right? (laugh)
We're looking forward to everyone getting their hands on the album♪ Just wait a little bit longer, okay?(^^)

And once again, it has arrived!

It's been an entire year since I first saw the banners around town.

So much has gone on since then, that it feels like it happened ages ago (ー.ー;)

This is a picture I took of the stands from the stage during last year's Loud Park rehearsals.

Even though it was still during the day, a lot of people came and filled up that huge made me really happy!

The moment we went out on stage the audience started cheering really loudly, and it felt really good, and even now I still clearly remember getting goosebumps from it all.

This year Judas Priest is coming!

Lately during band rehearsals, we've been playing with Hiro of GT and Painkiller, who all warm up at the same time we do, and this year, we're going to rock up Loud Park '09!

But!! This year we, Headphones President, will put a lot of fighting spirit into our one-man performance! We're gonna really rile things up and we won't lose at Loud Park!!!

Music is explosive!!!

今日もリハ〜★ - Rehearsals again today

★ A〜LA〜Z

Yeah, today we had rehearsals again! 〜(* ̄∀ ̄)b
Lately there haven't been any pictures posted, so today I'm putting up some!
While we were playing A〜LA〜Z, during the part when I wasn't playing I quickly took shots of these three!
Aaaah, I don't know if we're gonna play A〜LA〜Z during the live (laugh)
We're steadily moving towards the one-man!?
We're working hard, so everyone cancel all of your plans on October 23rd and come see the HPP one-man, okay?★

* In case you didn't know, A〜LA〜Z is a song off of their single, "De ja dub".

Welcome to the English translation of the blogs for Headphones Presidents, one of the best relatively-unknown bands in Japan! Before I start things off, let me say that I am in no way affiliated with HPP, or with anybody affiliated with them, I am just an overseas fan wanting to translate their blog posts. I'll try to update frequently, but I can't make any promises, so it might be a couple months till this blog has any significant amount of translations available.
I discovered Headphones President while I was on a high school trip to Japan, where I saw their music video "Chain" playing on a giant television screen in Shibuya. They looked interesting enough, so when I got back home"acquired" their music and after listening, realized that I had stumbled upon a really great band with a unique sound. I've been keeping up with their activities by mostly just reading the Anza blog English Translation at,but they have since gone on hiatus, leaving me to try and translate everything for myself. If anything, I'd like to try and translate every blog post from the very beginning, and hopefully my experience with Japanese should be sufficient.

Well then, at this point in time there are zero blog posts, and I still have to work this into my schedule, so maybe come check back in a couple of weeks and there will be things posted!
well, until next time!

Oh, and if you're interested in helping translate, feel free to ring me up!
